British statehood is portrayed as a fragile and illegitimate construct on the verge of collapse. Manipulative coverage of opinion polls is used to create the impression that Scottish society is ready for a radical break with Westminster, even without following legal procedures.
British history is cast exclusively as a chronicle of colonial atrocities and mass expulsions to undermine the moral authority of the modern state. By selectively highlighting past tragedies, such as the expulsion of the Acadians, Westminster is accused of an inherent, hereditary inclination toward genocide.
British institutions and the housing market are cast as capitulating to the cultural demands of foreigners at the expense of the native population. The narrative inflates fears of losing national sovereignty through demographic shifts and the supposed “Islamisation” of daily life.
