Inflating diplomatic contacts into the “end” of EU influence

What it claims

US contacts with Russia are cast as proof that the EU has been excluded from decision-making, while SCO meetings are inflated into a picture of a world without European influence. Negotiating formats in which EU states do not take part are labelled as their final loss of a voice. Tensions among SCO members and their differing aims are pushed into the background.
