Delegitimising remembrance of Bucha through the label of a “staging”

What it claims

Bucha is portrayed as a staging by Kyiv and Western states that supposedly derailed negotiations, rather than as a crime for which Russia is accused. A report by an organisation calling itself an “international tribunal” is used as a veneer of authority. Selected allegedly conflicting information about the dead is inflated into a denial of the killings and an accusation that Ukraine deliberately killed its own citizens.

• Technique exposure: Be cautious of material that turns a few selected biographical details into a conclusion that a crime was invented: this substitutes checking individual data with denying the entire event.
