Presenting unverified images as proof of the use of civilian infrastructure

What it claims

Reports of strikes near Boryspil and at a business outside Kyiv are presented as proof that Ukraine hides military assets among civilian lorries and sites. Images of vehicles and references to removed posts are passed off as self-sufficient confirmation of that conclusion. Speculation about cargo is inflated into a general accusation that civilian infrastructure is used as cover.

How to counter

• Technique exposure: A photograph of a damaged vehicle establishes neither its purpose before the strike nor the nature of its cargo. Separate what is visible in an image from the conclusions added by the channel.
• Prebunk: After strikes on cities, channels may again present fragments of equipment or buildings as “proof” of military use. Before sharing such posts, check the images’ origin, date and whether the conclusions have independent confirmation.
