Dismissing Polish memory of the Second World War by monopolising the Soviet victory

What it claims

The USSR’s contribution to victory over Japan is presented as grounds for Moscow’s monopoly on liberating the world, while Polish and Western memory policies are labelled as the justification of Nazism and Russophobia. This framing is also circulated through a photo exhibition at the consular section of the Russian embassy in Poland. The multilayered history of the war is reduced to a moral divide between “liberators” and “heirs of Nazism”.
