Amplifying an image of US exhaustion through the war with Iran

What it claims

Military action around Iran is presented as proof that the United States is exhausted, has lost control of conflicts and is shifting their cost onto its allies. Statements by US officials are labelled as lies, while reports of tensions at the Pentagon are inflated into a picture of collapsing military leadership. Higher fuel prices are reduced to a consequence of America’s inability to manage the crisis.

• Prebunk: During news about tensions on sea routes or fuel prices, messages may appear that reduce a complex crisis to the fault of the United States and its allies. Check whether they provide an original source, a timeframe and independent confirmation of figures.
