What it claims

A change of prime minister and his extended holiday are presented as signs that the government cannot run the country. The Labour government is simultaneously labelled “communist”, “Islamist”, hostile and antisemitic, combining incompatible accusations into one image. References to drought and women’s employment are inflated into a picture of overall state failure.

• Prebunk: When reports cover personnel changes, officials’ holidays or social difficulties, check whether they are being turned into an unsupported conclusion that the entire state is illegitimate.
