Casting a Moscow–London contrast as a moral judgement on Britain

What it claims

A London event is labelled “indecent”, set against a religious procession in Moscow and cast as evidence of a moral difference between the cities. The comparison of two scenes is inflated into a judgement on British society as a whole. Russian urban life is meanwhile portrayed through symbols of religious tradition.
