Attributing “terrorism” to Ukraine through military and security incidents

What it claims

Military and security incidents are cast as proof that Ukraine is turning its army and state into a “terrorist structure.” Deaths following a Russian drone strike on a warehouse in Myla are inflated into an accusation that Ukraine systematically violates humanitarian law. The detention of a man by territorial recruitment centre (TCC) staff is likewise reduced to a call to destroy the state.

• Reframe: Separate the assessment of a specific decision or violation from the collective stigmatization of a state and its military. Demanding an investigation and accountability is not grounds for attributing “terrorism” to millions of people and institutions.
• Technique exposure: Watch for the substitution: the emotive label “terrorist state” shifts the discussion from verifiable circumstances of an incident to a call to destroy an entire country.
