Sources — Germany

Outlets with a documented tie to Russian influence operations — current or historical — publishing to audiences in Germany, in German or in Russian. Each entry carries a dated, citable receipt.

What this focus admits, and why — Germany monitoring. The T1–T3 attribution tiers — source vetting.

Every source here was checked and measured, not assumed. Before launch we opened each channel by hand and then ran at least thirty of its real posts through the analysis, to see whether it actually produces Germany-directed narratives rather than merely having the pedigree for it. One channel scored zero on its thirty newest posts and would have been dropped on that evidence; read twice as deep, it yielded exactly the soft-power framing its designation predicts. A shallow zero means measure deeper, never drop.

The reach giants are deliberately absent. The largest German-language channels people expect on this page are not here, because documented pro-Kremlin alignment is not a documented Russian link, and this roster admits only the second kind. Germany monitoring names them and sets out the reasoning. If a qualifying receipt appears for any of them, they are admitted.

T3 attribution: some sources in this focus are documented by independent monitors, journalistic investigations, or official records that carry no designation against the source itself. Each entry states exactly what was documented and by whom; we never attribute to a source a sanction, charge or conviction that does not exist. Where a designation names a parent outlet rather than the specific channel, we say so plainly.

A channel we cannot read honestly is switched off, not left listed. One channel on this roster is fully public on the web but returns nothing at all to the reader we monitor with, because it carries a platform restriction. Rather than leave it marked as monitored while it silently delivered nothing, we switched it off until the reader can reach it. An entry here means we are actually reading it.

ChannelTierCountryWhat it isAttribution & sources
Anti-Spiegel (Thomas Röper)
@antispiegel
T1Thomas Röper's German-language channel, presenting pro-Kremlin readings of the war and of German politics as "media criticism" of the German press.
Its operator is listed by the European Union in Council Implementing Regulation (EU) 2025/965 of 20 May 2025, whose annex names his network of online channels "Anti-Spiegel" and states it systematically disseminates misinformation with a view to manipulating German public sentiment regarding support to Ukraine.
Neues aus Russland (Alina Lipp)
@neuesausrussland
T1The largest German-language pro-Kremlin Telegram channel, run by Alina Lipp. It publishes war coverage aligned with Russian state messaging and frames German politics for German readers.
Its operator is listed by the European Union in Council Implementing Regulation (EU) 2025/965 of 20 May 2025, whose annex names this very blog — "Neues aus Russland" — and states it systematically disseminates misinformation about Russia's war with a view to manipulating German public sentiment on support for Ukraine.
RT DE
@rt_de
T1The German-language Telegram channel of RT, Russia's state international broadcaster, continuing after the EU ban on RT's distribution. It publishes German-language news framing German politics and the war.
RT's German service is named in Annex XV of Council Regulation (EU) 2022/350 of 1 March 2022, which suspended its broadcasting and distribution in the EU. This channel is the operation's continuing German-language Telegram surface.
Russisches Haus in Berlin
@rushaus
T1The Berlin Russian House's channel — language courses, films, concerts. We read it as the cultural arm of Russian state influence: its operator is the Russian state agency for "soft power" abroad.
Its operator, the federal agency Rossotrudnichestvo, is designated by the European Union in Council Implementing Regulation (EU) 2022/1270 of 21 July 2022, which calls it the main state agency projecting the Kremlin's soft power and hybrid influence abroad.
Папочка канцлера
@kanzlerdaddy
T1A Russian-language channel about German politics for Russian speakers in Germany, run in a satirical register. Its presenters are on the payroll of RT's parent organisation.
The investigative outlet IStories documented in March 2025 that the channel's presenters receive salaries from ANO TV-Novosti — the Russian state organisation behind RT; The Insider corroborated in February 2026 that the channel was set up by RT employees. That is a documented funding and employment link, not a judgment of its editorial line.
Consulate-General of Russia in Bonn (German)
@GKRFBonn
T2The German-language channel of Russia's Consulate-General in Bonn — commemorations, culture and consular notices. We read it as a primary source: the Russian state speaking in its own name, in German.
This is an official channel of a consular mission of the Russian Federation. No attribution finding is needed or claimed: it is monitored because it is the state itself, addressing Germans in their own language.
Consulate-General of Russia in Bonn (Russian)
@GK_RF_Bonn
T2The Russian-language channel of Russia's Consulate-General in Bonn. We read it as the state addressing the Russian-speaking residents of Germany directly — a documented target audience of influence operations in Germany.
This is an official channel of a consular mission of the Russian Federation, self-identified as such. It is monitored because it is the state itself, addressing Russian speakers who live in Germany.
Russian Embassy in Berlin (Telegram)
@RusBotschaft
T2The German-language Telegram channel of Russia's embassy in Berlin. We read it as a primary source: it is the Russian state speaking in its own name, in German, to Germans.
This is an official diplomatic mission of the Russian Federation. No attribution finding is needed or claimed: it is monitored because it is the state itself.
Russian Embassy in Germany — Russian-language channel
@RusEmbDeu
T2The Russian embassy's own Russian-language channel for residents of Germany. We read it as the state addressing the Russian-speaking diaspora directly — a documented target audience of influence operations in Germany.
This is an official channel of a diplomatic mission of the Russian Federation, self-identified as such. It is monitored because it is the state itself, addressing Russian speakers who live in Germany.
InfoDefense (German)
@infodefGERMANY
T3The German-language branch of a network publishing in more than thirty languages, which translates pro-Kremlin military commentary for local audiences.
The InfoDefense network was documented by the DFRLab as a coordinated multilingual operation in March 2023, and its report names this German channel directly. We monitor the network's Polish node under the same finding.
Kanzlerdaddy (German)
@kanzlerdaddyDE
T3The German-language channel of the same project as Papochka Kanzlera, covering German politics, energy and society for a German-reading audience. Its presenters are on the payroll of RT's parent organisation.
The investigative outlet IStories documented in March 2025 that the project's presenters receive salaries from ANO TV-Novosti — the Russian state organisation behind RT — and its report links this German channel by name; The Insider corroborated in February 2026 that the project was set up by RT employees. That is a documented funding and employment link, not a judgment of its editorial line.
Node of Time DE
@node_of_time_DE
T3A German-language channel of the same coordinated multilingual network as InfoDefense, publishing geopolitical and German-politics material for German readers.
The DFRLab's March 2023 network analysis of coordinated pro-Kremlin Telegram channels names this channel as a German-language node of the cluster. The finding is the DFRLab's.
Rybar (German)
@rybardeu
T3The official German-language edition of Rybar, a prominent Russian military-blogger operation, translating its war analysis and framing for German readers.
The Rybar operation and its founder are the subject of a 2024 US State Department Rewards for Justice notice describing a defence-funded influence operation; Microsoft's threat-analysis reporting documents the same operation. This channel identifies itself as Rybar's official German edition.
Satellit
@satellit_de
T3The channel that continues Sputnik's German service under a new name — "Satellit" is simply the German word for Sputnik. It publishes high-volume German-language coverage of German politics with an anti-establishment slant.
The Institute for Strategic Dialogue documented in June 2023 that SNA — Sputnik's German arm, whose distribution the EU suspended in Regulation (EU) 2022/350 — redirected its audience to this channel and that SNA-produced material continued appearing on it. The finding is ISD's; the underlying outlet is EU-listed.
UKR LEAKS (German)
@ukr_leaks_de
T3The German-language branch of a nine-language network run by a former Ukrainian security officer who defected to Russia. It translates and republishes the network's material for German readers.
The network and its operator were documented by the DFRLab in September 2023; Ukraine's military intelligence records the operator's acknowledged cooperation with Russian special services. We monitor the network's Polish node under the same finding, and the channel itself states it belongs to the operator's centre.
UNN — Unabhängig-Neutrale Nachrichten
@unabhaengig_neutral
T3A German-language channel that mixes German political framing with conspiracy content. Reporting has documented it carrying material authored by Russian state media and operating as a long-term partner of the banned Sputnik's successor channel.
Correctiv documented in July 2025 that content authored by RIA Novosti Deutschland appeared in this channel in 2023, that it reposted the Sputnik-successor channel Satellit hundreds of times across 2022–2025, and that Satellit itself describes it as a partner channel. Syndication and an announced partnership are links of the qualifying kind.

OutletTierCountryWhat it isAttribution & sources
Anti-Spiegel (website)
T1The website behind the Anti-Spiegel channel we already monitor — the same operator's longer-form German-language publication, presenting pro-Kremlin readings of the war and of German politics as criticism of the German press.
That designation covers this site, not only the Telegram channel.
News Front (German)
T1The German-language edition of News Front, a Crimea-based outlet whose founder has described support from Russian security services. It republishes war and European-politics items for German readers at high volume.
News Front is designated by the United States Treasury, which describes the outlet as directed by Russia's Federal Security Service. This is its German-language edition, published on the same domain.
